We’re different…

Cornerstone Couriers was started in June 2000 as a specialist courier consultancy, providing a full range of courier services both domestically and internationally. These services are provided through Cornerstone’s alliance partners, under the personal direction of the CEO.

The founder’s background is in international marketing with companies like Unilever and Appletiser. He has many years of experience as a demanding user of courier services. He thus understands courier requirements from a user’s perspective. Prior to starting Cornerstone he was the General Manager of Supaswift (now Fedex) in KZN for 2½ years. There he gained hands-on experience in every aspect of the courier industry.

The company’s motto is “there must be a better way”. This reflects our commitment to innovation in a constant striving to improve the way we do things. Although the company is able to offer the full range of courier services, we have particular expertise in couriering perishable products.

B-BBEE procurement level of 100%

Cornerstone are classified as an Exempt Micro Enterprise in terms of the Codes of Good Practice to Section 9 of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act of 2003. As such they are recognized as a “Level Four Contributor” having a B-BBEE procurement level of 100%.

What distinguishes Cornerstone from other courier companies is that their select client base is serviced by the CEO personally – and his phone number is printed on every waybill. He is thus contactable 24/7. This results in a very responsive service, and resourceful solutions to any problems experienced.
